Handmade, hand painted 100% habotai silk scarf. Inspired by ancient Egyptian lotus flowers, this scarf was painted using multiple techniques to create a layered peice of art.
Serti technique was used to create the floral shapes which were coloured with pink, purple and blue. We then created a shattering effect with batik by coating and crackling the scarf with wax, then painting it over with black.

Wanna keep your scarf looking new?
Don't you just love when you get new things! The clean, the softness and most importantly the glow are all things I look forward to when I make a new purchase. Here are all the secrets to keeping your new scarf in that condition.
Handwash in cold water with a mild soap (please do not soak the scarf).
Pat dry with a fluffy bath towel, and hang straight to dry.
Iron on a low heat setting while scarf is damp, under a cotton cloth.
If ironing scarf with metallic gutta, flip the scarf over so that the gutta does not face up under the cloth, then iron.
